The science department would like thank the ELEF and ELHS Parent Council for generously supporting our students by providing 25 TI-83 graphing calculators. These are already being used by ELHS students to complete calculations in chemistry and physics courses such as algebraic functions, scientific notation, logs, exponents, square roots, trig functions, linear regressions and graphing.

Prior to this grant not all students had access to the same graphing calculators and the award of this grant has made our classrooms more equitable.

For an example of how students are using these calculators feel free to check out this tutorial created by Mr. Paddock.
