Welcome! Here is a glance of Donley Physical Education Class...
Your child(ren)'s class usually begins with a warm-up period where we practice gross motor skills such as gallop, skip, slide and run then we progress to a time to practice our rope jumping skills and finally we do some upper body strength activites such as wall or floor push ups and wall walk ups.
Next, we proceed to a instruction/direction/demonstration period of the lesson when the students are given the details of the goals/objectives for the lesson. Once everyone has a clear understanding and procedures have been established we move right into activity. As our time comes to a close we line up and review together if we have met the goals/expectations for the days lesson as we wait for the classroom teacher to arrive to pick the students up.
Your child(ren) have Physical Education class twice a week and need to wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothes they can move in. Should your child not feel well or have an injury that will not allow them to participate in class please either send them with a note to me, contact the school office or contact me so I am aware of this.
